Hi! I wanted to ask you what the age limit is if you want to be a professional stage dancer. I started with intermediate this year, but I am also turning 18 in November. I am completely obsessed with dancing, but I don't know if I should be optimistinc about trying to go professional and if I should just continue doing it for the fun. My ancles are strong and I am fairly well built for a ballerina, but I am quite old.. Any advice?

Hi there! The limit age to become a professional dancer it depends a lot on each company, so you’ll have to search your “ideal company” but you got a good chance to get into it so don’t worry and go for it!
Keep dancing and practising! If you love to dance then do it! keep on what you love :D

It's time for an update. I've signed up for Step by Step basic Ballet lessons and I have my first 2 lessons on July 27th and August 4th. That way I'll get higher on the waitinglist to start classes in the new season. The also gave me the advice to follow a workshop beginners choreography on August 18th so I signed up for that as well. I already ordered a theraband and a book with dvd (Ballerina - a guide for young dancers) Now I need to buy a leotard, tights, shoes and more bobbypins.
